The tiger is the third sign of the chinese sodiac, it’s after the ox, and before the rabbit.

The tiger is a sign of courage, and protection, in the house it’ll hold of fires, burglars (thieves), and ghosts.
The tiger is in the female yin energy, and the chinese believe that the markings on it’s forehead are the chinese character “wang” for king.

…Ok, that was a cross reference to Conan’s (who’s show we’ll dearly miss, oh jay leno how I despise you!), to easen up a more serious notice.

As some of you have already experienced the City of Shanghai is switching to natural gas, and unfortunately, they’re as adept (*/sarcasm) as ever
in letting our dear fellow citizens know.

Please watch out for notices at your front door, at the entrances of your management or at your neighbors apartment for dates when to not use the gas (usually done within a day), and try to be there if possible as the stove, and water heater will require a small part to be changed (which the gas company does for free), if you’re not there a damaged heater or water stove is the likely outcome.
