How Project inaugural Fund Raiser

The How Project (chinese “hao”/good) is having it’s inaugural fund raiser at the Mesa Manifesto.
Use this social mix to give back, and help minority children in Guangxi and Yunnan improve schools and
their living conditions at the boarding houses.

About The How Project

  • what: The HOW project  is holding a fundraiser to help minority children in Deqin, Yunnan Province, bordering Tibet, and Guangxi Autonomous Region
  • conditions in Guangxi school: over 35% of the students come from extreme low-income households; over 15% are either orphans or come from single-parent homes
  • conditions in Deqin school: almost 10% of the students come from extreme low-income households; over 10% are either orphans or come from single-parent homes
  • needs: heating for water, blankets, jackets for freezing winters; school supplies & clothing for impoverished and orphaned students
  • happening: silent auction with donated items and services; postcards (of kids in need) giveaway for every guest
  • goal: raise funds for 250 blankets, 100 jackets and heating units for water, including installation = 40,000 RMB

At the fundraiser there will also be a silent auction
which will include but is not limited to;

  • one night in penthouse suite at urbn
  • 5000rmb worth of vouchers from blue frog
  • 1000rmb voucher to use in beijing hair culture salon
  • one free hair cut by matsume in beijing hair culture
  • art painting
  • designer handbags
  • original Enron stock certificate
  • 3 training sessions (at alexander gym) and physical evaluation with professional trainer valued at 1500
  • 1 karate lesson taught by ex german national team member and hk / macau champion
  • 2 shoes by Chloe Chen
